Out of the Mouths of Babes: I'm Not Growing

I took Jack shopping earlier this week for some badly needed dress shoes, pants and shirts since he has grown several inches and shoe sizes in the past year. As we wandered through Macy's we had the following exchange:

Me: (sigh) I really need new clothes too. I haven't bought myself anything new to wear in a really long time.

Jack: Why do you need new clothes? You're not growing.

(I didn't bother mentioning to him that when you're an adult, the only way to grow is out, not up.)
