Actual conversation between Ella and her older, wiser, fourth grade friend on the way home from school the other day . . .

Friend: Today we had a class about puberty.

Ella: What's that?

Friend: They talk to you about your body! It was gross!

Ella: Ew! Do they talk about your private area?

Friend: Yes. It was so disgusting.

Ella: Ew! (fanning self dramatically and giggling)

Friend: But don't worry, you won't have to learn that stuff until you're in fourth grade.

I am definitely not ready for this.
